Tour Balch Hill Natural Area with me as we walk through fields of ferns, play on giant mossy logs and visit champion Red Oaks made famous by their sheer size and staying power. This place has the largest trees I've seen in the Upper Valley! On this hike, we'll venture up to a quaint high meadow and orchard where we'll do stone-wall yoga while we enjoy the sweeping views of downtown Hanover and beyond. Off the beaten path, these lush woods are perfect for deepening your practice and providing a meditative experience.
Many thanks to the good folks at the Hanover Conservancy, a nonprofit who is allowing us to use this land, co-owned by them, the Town of Hanover, and Dartmouth College. A portion of the proceeds from this hike will go to the Balch Hill Stewardship Fund to maintain this lovely natural area.
This event is $20, payable at the hike. Please contact Miss Amanda by using this link to save your space.
