Tune In to You: the 2025 New Year's Daily Challenge!

Hooray! It’s time for my annual New Year’s Daily Challenge: now, new and improved! Come back to your mat after the hectic holidays and nourish yourself with the vitality of yoga.

This year I’m offering a special personalized approach to the Challenge, which includes a Yoga Coaching session with me. Before we begin classes, I will survey each of you to learn about your injuries, issues, and goals. During our online group classes—live over Zoom, and recorded if you want to practice later—we’ll weave in the most effective stretches, exercises, and other practices for each of you throughout the series, pulling from my training as a Coaching the Body practitioner and from hatha, vinyasa, Kundalini and other yoga traditions. Each class will be a new adventure!

Classes will also include short “micro-meditations,” breath work sessions, and dance/free movement, all with the aim of you tuning in to what you need that morning. Occasional journal prompts will also be given for those who want to include writing in your new-years goals.

Our first session will be Saturday, January 4 at 9 am to give you time to think about your practice goals and chat with me one-on-one in a Yoga Coaching call so we can get clear on what you need—together. We’ll go for 15 dynamite days - with our last session on Saturday, January 18 at 9 am. Weekend classes are at 9, and weekday classes will be earlier—we’ll vote as a group on what time works best (likely in the window between 7-8 am). Again, you’ll get recordings so you can do the class at the most convenient time for you.

Fall Foliage Yoga Hike

Celebrate the glories of fall with us! Escape the foliage crowds by joining this moving yoga meditation in our private woods! We start with yoga warmups on the bank of a beautiful tree-lined pond reflecting the foliage colors. We’ll then mindfully hike through the autumn woods, using natural features such as stones and logs to assist us in our yoga stops, including an inspirational stop at a stunning lookout point. At the hike’s end, we’ll rest on the earth for a meditation where we appreciate our divine role as part of the natural world.

Extend your afternoon getaway by staying for a luxurious soak in our outdoor freshwater salt hot tub!

For all levels of yoga experience. The Yoga Hike takes place here at Inner Lift Yoga in Barnard, and you’ll get directions when you register. The event goes from 2-4 pm and the hot tub will be open until 5. It’s $35 for the two-hour yoga event, and an additional $25 if you want to soak. A lovely way to enjoy the foliage and pamper yourself for the day!

Fall Day Retreat: Hike, Soak, Dine!

Aw, yeah! Take time to unwind and enjoy the fall- come connect with your higher self and be with your introspective nature. Treat yourself to this event that combines all the best things in life - yoga, hiking in the fall woods, soaking in a hot tub, and eating! We start in the woods of Barnard, where we’ll do yoga with trees, rocks, and logs on the season’s final Yoga Hike. Be present for the end of foliage and get incredible views of Mt. Ascutney - and know that there will be no interruptions, as we’ll be on our private land.

Afterward, the pampering begins! We’ll soak outdoors in our freshwater salt hot tub that feels so good in the crisp fall air. Relax and connect with your fellow retreatants. When we’re finished soaking, we’ll dine on a delicious gourmet vegetarian lunch, made with locally-grown ingredients with the intention of nourishing you, body and soul.

Hidden Norwich Foliage Yoga Hike

Enjoy the peace of the woods this Columbus weekend on this special, brand-new hike! We’ll get away from the crowds by starting our event on private land which has a terrific view of Cardigan Mountain and the Presidentials. We then explore some of Norwich’s well-maintained trails that meander along the Charles Brown Brook, a magical path of mosses, foot bridges, and stream crossings. We’ll do yoga stops along the way, with inspirational quotes and meditations. Our final relaxation will be back on private land, where you can deeply rest, undisturbed, on an open-air stage outside an artists’ barn. Vermont culture and wilderness at its finest!

Mission Farm Foliage Yoga Hike

Clear your mind and explore the sacred land at Mission Farm, just south of Killington. For this invigorating hike, we’ll be hiking uphill on the trails behind the picturesque church, experiencing the beauty of pine groves, babbling brooks, mossy deciduous forests, and views of nearby Killington Mountain during foliage season. Along the way, we’ll be doing accessible yoga poses, breath work, and meditation. I’ll be reading inspiring quotations and inviting reflection on the connection between nature and the soul. If you love the woods and want to explore it in a new way, this event is for you!

No yoga experience necessary, but since we’ll be hiking up a 500’ rise, a basic level of hiking fitness is required. Registered participants will get an email a few days beforehand with detailed information with directions and what to wear/bring. To register, click the link below. Yes! It’s the first Yoga Hike of the season! Time to experience the joy of stretching in the woods! I’ll be leading this hike through our beautiful private woods here in Barnard, Vermont - the perfect setting for you to connect deeply with nature and yourself. We’ll move mindfully through the forest, using features of the woods such as logs and sticks to help us go deep with our stretches. This trail includes a fantastic lookout point as well as a yoga session by a serene pond. We’ll finish the event with an optional hot-tub soak for those who want to retreat even longer. January Daily Meditation Challenge

Meditation. It’s the single most crucial thing you can do for your well-being, and yet, most of us put it off. No longer! Challenge yourself to show up and sit with me every morning for the month of January, with the encouragement and accountability of being part of a group, and the convenience of being online. Our daily 30-minute zoom sessions will be recorded and sent to you so you can keep the meditations and/or practice on your own schedule. Each online session will include 15-20 minutes of yoga stretches followed by a 10-15 minute meditation - except for Saturdays, which will be hourlong sessions to incorporate more movement. This will be a fun, lighthearted approach which will include daily body-shaking (you’ll love it!) as well as a new meditation every three days, creating a sampler of practices for you to learn what works best for you and your monkey mind.

Yes, it’s a big commitment, and yes, it brings big rewards:

  • Take control of your thoughts- and your life!

  • Build an island of calm for yourself

  • Generate good ideas

  • Become less reactive

  • Hear your own wisdom

  • Understand your mental patterns

Self Love Seminar #1: Understanding

Shine through these dark days by tending the flame of Self. Prepare for the holidays by decorating your soul with self-love! Both of these seminars will include Kundalini Yoga, known as the yoga of awareness, as well as discussion, journaling, and a relaxation meditation that involves the art of self-face massage.

In Seminar #1, we’ll be focused on understanding. What gets in the way of us loving ourselves unconditionally? How can we accept ourselves and our faults? How can we love ourselves more? To this end, we’ll start with a tea-time discussion (featuring Miss Amanda’s famous homemade chai) followed by journaling and a set of hip-opening yoga poses. We’ll finish with a free-form dance session to help us enjoy the freedom in moving beyond our perceived limits.

This seminar will be held in the beautiful Strong House Spa movement space with its high ceilings and many windows. And, to incorporate some pre-yoga shopping therapy, start your self-love event with a visit to local apothecary Z Botanicals’ Holiday Pop-Up just down the road in Hartland from 12-5. Treat yourself to locally-crafted pottery, herbal products, and jewelry - and get some of your holiday shopping done early while supporting local artists and healers while supporting yourself. To celebrate fall, we’re pairing a Yoga Hike, where we move mindfully through the woods, stopping to stretch and breathe deep in the crisp fall air, with a hot-tub soak at the end! Take relaxation to the next level!

Yoga Walk at VINS: A Meditative Tour

Experience the VINS Nature Center through the lens of yoga. During this meditative event, participants will stroll mindfully through the grounds, pausing to do simple yoga poses in the woods, by the water, and on the Forest Canopy Walk. Most of this workshop will be spent in silence. Enjoy being quiet and present among the sounds of morning birds as you experience the Nature Center before the grounds are open to the public. I’ll weave in yogic mythology as well as mindfulness techniques and accessible yoga poses throughout this event, and this workshop will culminate with an unforgettable Forest Canopy relaxation.

All levels of yoga experience are welcome. Wear clothes to stretch in, shoes for walking, and bring a mat, blanket, or towel to carry along for the final relaxation.  Rain date will be the following Sunday, 7/24.  Space is limited, so register now by going to the link below.

Salute Summer: Pondside Yoga on Solstice Morning

Want to do something special to welcome summer? Join us bright and early for a special, one-time pondside yoga session where a dream team of local yoga teachers will lead you in 108 sun salutations followed by a sweet relaxation. You are welcome to join late, leave early, and rest when you need to.

Contribute your energy to a group experience you will not forget! This event is by donation, but do bring your yoga mat and any props you need to be comfortable. You may also bring a swimsuit and towel for a post-yoga pond swim!

We'll be on private land in Barnard, VT. The GPS address is: 4322 VT-12, Barnard, VT 05031. Make note of the directions, as you won’t have cell service there:

From Woodstock/south:  Go north on 12.  The event is 8 miles north from Billings Farm.  As you come towards Barnard, you will pass Gulf Road on the left. Start paying close attention when you see the "Moose" sign.  You will turn right into the 2nd driveway on the right (marked with the Yoga Class today sign.)   Park in the clearing and follow the sign to the pond.

From Barnard/north: From the Barnard General Store, you will go south on 12 for 1.7 miles.  Start paying close attention when you see the 7% grade sign just before the downhill slope.  After the guardrail on the left, you will turn left into the first driveway (marked with the Yoga Class today sign.)   Park in the clearing and follow the sign to the pond.

Full Moon Yoga Dance Jubilee!

Time to celebrate! Let's gather together and dance under the full moon, which will happen during the Spring Equinox weekend! I’m teaming up with Deonne Myrick to interweave various yoga practices and dance in this lighthearted workshop. We'll also be doing an inspirational ritual to mark the fact that we've made it through the winter and are now ready to embrace the springtime within ourselves. The full moon is the perfect time to let things go, especially the energy that may be holding you back. And dancing is the perfect way to release the old, invite in new and positive energy and open yourself up to all of the wonderful things the universe has in store for you!

All levels welcome to this event designed to make you feel jubilant! Afterward, we'll offer some light refreshments so you can socialize with your yoga community. Self Care Saturday: Yoga Nidra (Psychic Sleep)

Yoga Nidra - psychic sleep - is my GO-TO meditation for falling back asleep in the middle of the night. It works wonders! But this magic meditation is primarily used to help you stick to your intention by seeding it in your subconscious. Learn how to hypnotize yourself during this "Self-Care Saturday" workshop over Zoom. We’ll start with some wake-up movements, discuss crafting an intention, and then do the guided meditation LYING DOWN. The workshop fee of $24 includes a recording of the meditation portion of the Zoom call as well as 2 bonus voice files.

New Year's Daily Yoga Challenge

We’re so glad to offer the annual New Year's Daily Yoga Challenge because it really gives you the opportunity to shift yourself in real and lasting ways. Now is the time for you to prioritize your self-care regimen! This year, Energy Medicine Yoga & vinyasa teacher Deonne Myrick will be joining me so we can both inspire you to nourish yourself through the practices of yoga. You’ll be able to join us from anywhere, as everything will be offered over Zoom and you’ll get video links to do practices at your convenience.

The 28 days of yoga includes:

  • A kickoff workshop on Sun, 1/2 from 3-5:30: “Release, Let Go, & Thrive!” - in person in Randolph or on Zoom - includes journaling, discussion, restorative and active yoga

  • 2x/week morning Kundalini Zoom with Miss Amanda

  • 2x/week morning Energy Flow Zoom with Deonne

  • 2x/week practice videos delivered to your inbox

  • 3 Self-Care Saturday workshops over Zoom

  • Closing Celebration Ceremony & Connection on Sat, 1/29

Classes will run 35-45 minutes on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 7:00 - 7:45 am live on Zoom and will be recorded for you. Saturday Self-Care workshops will be hourlong explorations into up-leveling your lifestyle from 9:00 - 10:00 am. You’ll receive the video recordings of all classes so you can practice whenever you want, along with bonus videos on Wednesdays and Sundays.

For all of this - and all the “more” that comes with investing in your health and sanity on a daily basis - it’s $295 per person. Bring a friend/loved one/stranger, and you each get a $30 discount.
