Monthly Meditation: Heart of Gold

Want to feel your heart open in a whole new way? This short meditation gives you a gentle way to access your heart energy, making you more compassionate, aware, and open to opportunities. With just a few arm movements and some breath work, you can shift into a deeper awareness of your capacity to love.

The class will include some interactive discussion as well as meditation. I will record the meditation portion of the class and send you the recording so you can keep meditating. New Year's 2020 Jumpstart

Leave the holidays behind and start fresh for the new year! This popular workshop is designed to help you spread your wings and transform through starting a daily yoga practice in the new year. In keeping with the Kundalini tradition of doing a practice 40 days in a row, you will get practice ideas & email support for the 40-day period after the workshop.

The outstanding, highly experienced Sharon Comeau will be joining me and leading a multi-level physical practice. Since the class will be tailored to your needs, people of all levels of yoga experience can join. I will be offering various Kundalini meditations to be used as tools for various purposes: to raise energy, to calm the mind, to focus and center yourself. When used consistently, all tools will create lasting change! In this workshop, we will also discuss and anticipate the challenges of committing to a daily practice. In keeping with the Kundalini tradition of doing a practice 40 days in a row, you will be encouraged to practice daily for 40 days—in a row! To help you along, we will be sending out email support with practice ideas & encouraging words for the six-week period after the workshop.

For this two-hour event, the fee is $45 if you pay by 12/28; $55 thereafter. Your fee includes receiving encouraging emails and practice ideas 2x/ week for the 40 days after the workshop. Mid-Summer Mindfulness Retreat

Change your mind on this tranquil, informative retreat with visiting mindfulness meditation teacher Gena Adams-Riley and Miss Amanda.  Together, we will be guiding you through a day of yoga, hiking, mindfulness meditation, discussion, and a fantastic communal lunch. We will practice mindfulness in various settings: not only on the cushion, but in the woods, on the mat, and even in the hot tub!  

Gena is eager to share her knowledge of Contemplative Neuroscience, research-based science which clearly demonstrates that mindfulness practices such as yoga and mindfulness meditation have positive, profound, and scientifically-measurable effects on the brain.  These changes in your brain contribute to a happy, healthy, long life.  Learn to do these practices with Gena, a mindfulness mediation teacher with almost 20 years of experience. 

Our day will begin at the Camp Plymouth State Park in Ludlow, VT with a special Yoga Hike, an invigorating moving meditation led by Miss Amanda that uses the natural features of the forest to support our yoga poses and focus our mindful attention.  We’ll then reward ourselves with a gourmet vegetarian lunch at Good Commons, a sweet, homey retreat center dedicated to the mission of providing calm, healing space.  Afterward, Gena will lead a discussion on Contemplative Neuroscience and practice of seated mindfulness meditation.    

Our retreat will continue with a soak in the Good Commons hot tub, and we'll finish the day with the practice of yoga nidra, or "psychic sleep," a guided meditation that will relax the body so that you can seed positive affirmations into your subconscious mind.
